  Rocio Pino was known for sharing the gospel wherever she went. “All who come here will hear about Christ,” she once said of her work in an area controlled by the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC). Understanding the risks, Rocio and her family chose to live and share the gospel in a dangerous area of Colombia because they took Jesus’ Great Commission seriously. Though it cost Rocio her life, her Christian witness amid Marxist oppression and violence was worthy of Christ and advanced His kingdom.

  John Chau: Día del mártir cristiano

  Hoy, en el Día del Mártir Cristiano, honramos la obediencia de John Chau. Él dio su vida en un esfuerzo por dar a conocer el amor de Cristo a los sentineleses, un pueblo no alcanzado que habita en una pequeña isla en la Bahía de Bengala entre India y el sureste de Asia. Cuando las noticias dieron a conocer su muerte fue descrito como un joven sin preparación e inconsciente, pero cuando entrevistaron a quienes lo conocieron personalmente fue descrito como el hombre más preparado que hubieran conocido. Él amaba a Dios y amaba al pueblo sentinelés incluso hasta el punto de perder su vida. Oremos por los sentineleses para que conozcan el amor y la verdad de Jesucristo.
